Now take your audio cable. Get a razor and cut the RCA Plugs off. Now strip the ends of the wires. Join the negatives of each of the two wires together, so you have 3 conductors. Now line them up, and solder them in. This step took me hours, I hate soldering. I also covered my solder with gobs of glue to try and give the wires some support. And note my cable routing, the loop around the vent keep you from accidentally pulling your soldered wires out of their new home.
One common problem is, how do you know which is (+) Positive and which is (-) Negative. Generally, when you chop the end off of each channel, the Positive will either be white, or have a white line going down it. The negative will be all Black. So your going to have the following:
Left | Right | ||
(-) Negative |
(+) Positive |
(-) Negative |
(+) Positive |
Solid Black |
White / White Stripe | Solid Black |
White / White Stripe |
Be very careful and take your time. You don't want to mess up here.
Now route the cable out the back.
